This prominent building in the metropolis of New York, 381 metres high, dates from 1929 and was pronounced one of the seven Wonders of the World by the American Society for Civil Engineers. In 1981 the building was declared a monument. Like many other iconic buildings in New York, the Empire State Building had to be restored with the best restoration mortar available.
Already in its starting years, Jahn International was commissioned to develop a series of restoration mortars for some of the most striking buildings in New York, including the Statue of Liberty, Radio City Music Hall, New York Stock Exchange, Grand Central Terminal, The Rockefeller and also the Empire State Building. With its restoration mortars, Jahn International laid the foundation for a successful collaboration in restoration projects in North America.
